St Kilda Film Festival - 'Tortoise' Official Selection

The St Kilda Film Festival (4 - 14 June) is Australia’s longest-running short film festival, representing a key annual event on the national screen culture calendar. The heart of the Festival's program is Australia's Top Short Films Competition and is renowned as the most comprehensive overview of Australia's short film industry, and as a platform for emerging filmmakers.
'Tortoise' was an official selection for the 2026 festival, screening in three sessions on Saturday June 13th and Sunday June 14th - the Animation Showcase, Shifting the Gaze program and Made in VIC program.
I was also honoured to be invited to speak on the Women in Film & TV Victoria presented panel, Behind the Frames: Gender Diversity in Animation. This event, held as part of The Big Picture Filmmaker Development Day at the JMC Academy campus in Melbourne, dove into the craft of 2D and 3D animation, unpacking the techniques, teamwork, and roles that bring stories to life. It was wonderful to share the stage with such talented creatives and discuss the future of animation in Australia!
