Ottawa International Animation Festival - 'Tortoise' Official Selection
'Tortoise' has been selected for the Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF), one of the world’s leading animation festivals.
Founded by the Canadian Film Institute and celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026, OIAF is a five-day festival bringing together animation artists, filmmakers, industry professionals and audiences for screenings, talks, exhibitions, events and industry programs. The 2026 festival runs from 23–27 September in Ottawa, with more than 200 new films presented across the festival program.
Tortoise will screen as part of the Canadian Panorama, an out-of-competition program showcasing a selection of Canadian animation and highlighting the breadth of contemporary animation being created in Canada. The program is presented in partnership with TeleFilm Canada.
The film will have two screenings: Thursday 24 September at 1:00pm at the ByTowne Cinema, followed by a second screening on Friday 25 September at 9:00pm at the Ottawa Art Gallery Alma Duncan Salon.
