The Melbourne Women in Film Festival (MWFF) is a not-for-profit annual festival that celebrates and supports the work of the many talented women in the Australian screening industry.
This year MWFF will take place February 10th - 14th at the Australian Centre of the Moving Image (ACMI) at Federation Square in Melbourne, as well as online. MWFF 2022 delves into the lighter side of life as well as exploring the potential for humour to challenge social and cultural stereotypes. The festival brings together a dynamic program of features and short films, classic films, web series, music videos, talks and workshops.
Selected for the Freshly Squeezed Shorts program, which features dramatic true stories to vibrant musical rhythms and fantastical experimentations, Forgotten will have its Australian premiere on Sunday February 13th alongside the latest and best short films, web series and music videos from Australian, Aotearoa/New Zealand and Pasifika filmmakers. Forgotten will also be available online from February 10th - 28th through ACMI Cinema 3.
MWFF is officially supported by Film Victoria, City of Melbourne, ACMI, Swinburne University, Monash University as well as by industry partners Post Lab IO, Blackmagic Design, WIFT Vic and The Post Lounge.
